The museum's main entrance is located on the corner of First Street and Massachusetts Avenue NE. Other entrances have variable hours.
The Post Office Department celebrated the 1939 New York World's Fair by issuing a 3-cent deep purple stamp on April 1, 1939. The stamp features an image of the Trylon and Perisphere, outstanding architectural features of the fair.
