- This cover was carried on Amelia Earhart's flight from Los Angeles, California, to Mexico City on April 19, 1935 and carried back to Newark, New Jersey, on her non-stop flight from Mexico to the United States on May 8-9, 1935.
- The cover bears Amelia Earhart signature and is addressed to her husband, Mr. G. P. Putnam, New York City. U. S. stamps affixed, Scott C7, Scott 720, Scott 696; Mexican stamp affixed, Scott C014. UPU Republique Mexicaine affixed, No. 5504. From Album 1 of the collection.
