Robert Pichs

Robert Pichs was born in Cienfuegos, Las Villas, Cuba, on February 2, 1926. He studied at Havana’s Centro Dependiente, and received his degree in Optometry when he was 21 years old. He married Aleida (Luz) Reyes, and he practiced optometry in Cuba until 1968, when he and his wife went into exile in the United States. He nevertheless continued his life-long dedication to collecting the stamps of his beloved country, Cuba, until just before his death on January 24, 1994.
