Allen D. Jones spent thirty years with the U.S. Navy as Senior Weapons Systems Engineer. He has served in many capacities within the philatelic hobby, including president of the Air Mail Society, vice president of the American Philatelic Society, and president of the Virginia Philatelic Federation. He is an internationally and nationally accredited judge and has published numerous articles and books. His philatelic exhibits have won worldwide acclaim, including International Philatelic Gold and National Philatelic Grand awards.
Allen Jones is married and lives with his wife in Portsmouth, Virginia.
