Postal employees unloading mail from the first regularly scheduled transcontinental airmail service. This airplane was the first to arrive flying from west to east. It reached Omaha at 1:50 am on July 2, 1924. Pilots flew day and night, using beacons and field flood lights for navigation in the dark.
