Army airmail pilots Lt. George Boyle (left) and Lt. Torrey Webb (right) admiring Boyle’s new wrist watch. The Hamilton Watch Company gave each pilot who flew mail on this first day of service a similar wrist watch. Boyle and Webb were two of the first Army pilots who flew the mail for the Post Office Department.
