Moving the Mail : Airmail in America : The Airplanes : The Wiseman-Cooke

back

In 1911 this Wiseman-Cooke aircraft, shown on display in the museum's atrium, made the first mail flight officially sanctioned by a U.S. Post Office. It is currently on loan to the National Postal Museum from the National Air and Space Museum.
