For
his drawings to commemorate the 1990s, Drew Struzan
united fifteen subjects with a consistently rippled,
almost blurred style. In this illustration for the
Gulf War stamp, he creates drama not only through
fiery colors but also by hinting at greater conflict
in the distance.
