OBJECT SHOWCASE: Balloon and Zeppelin Mail
Envelope carried out of Paris during the 1870 siege in the balloon "Le Ferdinand Flacon." The balloon carrying this letter among the 150 kilograms of mail left Paris on November 4 and landed at Nantes.
