AIRMAIL CREATES AN INDUSTRY: The Postal Service Takes Over

Standard airplanestandard Aircraft Company of Elizabeth, New Jersey, produced six specially ordered aircraft for the U.S. Post Office Department. These special mail airplanes were marked with mailbags on both sides of the fuselage.
